Dallas Career Institute was founded in March of 2008 by Mr. Joe Onyema. The school started with two programs namely Nurse Aide and Medication Aide programs. At that time, there was a high demand in hospitals and nursing homes in the Dallas area for those two programs. From the start, the institute was committed to providing the best possible training experience for its students by adopting good teaching methods with experienced and dedicated instructors.

With a significant increase in student enrollment over the years there was a need to change the business formation from being a sole proprietor to a limited liability company and that was done in 2013. With a steady increase in student enrollment and the demand for more programs, we decided to add five new programs namely, Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy technician, Pharmacy Technician Training, Patient Care technician and EKG Training programs.

In August 2022 the school relocated to its current address of 9441 LBJ Freeway, Dallas Texas 75243. The current campus is large, spacious with enhanced parking, more classroom and clinical spaces that provides for an improved learning environment and we invite our potential students and the general public for a tour of our new facility.
